...or less...
Sorry to see us go.
The night drive was quick despite an extensive diversion at the end of m27 bringing us down through Christchurch and then Poole passing the hospital l was bornded in 😮
Our first day 'at home' we walked through the strawberry fields (used to be a pick your own farm) to the county town...
Dorchester peeping over the hills in the distance....
We met up with my parents who had driven in and went to Poundbury for coffee and a visit to the chocolate factory shop....that's 470 rand for those who want one...
The not working fountain used to be the roundabout but is now off the road for people to get closer to. No idea where it came from as Poundbury was non existent or maybe it was built for the place but somewhat out of place in the modern surroundings is the naked ladies fountain
Woodington bear powered by marmalade
We went into Gallimaufrey's where they are selling these objects of beauty... combination of copper and wood is stunning
Swirly one
They are not cheap even on sale so have remained in the shop but we did get a couple of rugs to make the basement more homely and nicer for Woody when he's changing into his bike kit
And this hilarious/hideous tissue box (we didn't get this either)
Further shopping in Dorchester found this hat....
What does the fox say?
And matching salt and pepper pots...
Saturday found us in Plymouth. A stop off at Moore's biscuit factory (where the knobs come from) and then to Buckfast Abbey for lunch and a spot of tonic wine and then onto see Grandma who we have not seen since she has moved into a care home. We took her out for tea and cake at a local garden centre.
We stopped off at Grandma's bungalow and Woody got into (not literally) the radiogram
And here's another fox hottie! 🦊
No more cats yet but later we expect to see three - Duffy, Princess Lily and Scrumpy so fear not!
Love to all
