One of the pleasures of doing these travelogues is hearing your replies and seeing other photos. Latest being an Abbey Cat surveying a group on a quiet day. No cat treats as crunching no doubt too noisy.
One of the places we often visit is Kleinmond as it involves a stop part way along the ever beautiful coast road and is a good opportunity to stop and look in nice galleries and have a bite to eat. This time we were meeting a friend...
Not that one... This one...
Jacques is the original owner of Trinity - the motorbike we have in South Africa. He was always sad to part with her and we have always kept in touch since meeting up if time permits when we are there. Funding and family needs
Have prevented a replacement but amazingly his prayer group secretly got together and purchased him a new bike!
After a breakfast we all rode along the coast road which was his way home and up to the road with a stunning viewpoint. Where I lay my helmet, that's my home.
Woody always behaves himself when out in public
Really though the view is stunning
On the way back to Hermanus through the mountains the traffic was horrendous so we took a right turn and came back on alternative dirt road stopping off for a quick photo
He dunnit!
And here's the view of the area known as the highlands (my hearts in the highlands, my heart is not here)
And trinity who successfully got up the hill and back
We visited friends for Bucks Fizz one morning which was bubbly with freshly pressed orange juice. You can see the mountain range behind which we walked up
They have a small flatlet beneath their also blue and white flat which is to rent
A lovely space
As is the garden
And then into town
Where we found some mojitos
This was dinner - don't look it's rude
We go to B's for steaks and silliness
Can't wait to get my beak into dinner. The location of B's has moved due to a fire at the place previously owned
But the view down the Hemel en Aarde valley is fabulous from this place and as ever the food and service was excellent.
One more to go! Love to all xxx
