At the bottom of the hill runs a river so this walk was planned to be along one side of the river and back along the other thus avoiding all hills.
The sun was out which helped as otherwise it could be a bit bleak
There was a kissing gate in the field for walkers to use. No fence just the gate.
And a fallen tree to explore
And some health warnings
Oh and conveniently a pub at the halfway point. I tried some Kentish cider.
The view back up our hill
Watch out for trolls!
Gorgeous winter sun and a very friendly Neddy and then we were back to the car which kindly took us up the hill home.
More recently we had another stunning winters day going to Polesden Lacy where we met a friend of Woody's whom I hadn't met before
Most of the house was shut up for the winter except the main entrance and the servants quarters and the kitchens. Even the statues in the grounds were tucked up.
The light was lovely though it was chilly
A little country retreat apparently
There was still frost on the ground in places
We had a good lunch in the restaurant too
And time to go!
Some more wintery pics
It may be winter but the catkins are appearing
There is frost around the tips of the holly
Cobwebs in the mist where we live
One on the oast
And draping around the carports.
Next stop Dorset!
Love to all xxx
