We were heading up the Leopards Kloof trail
We had passed through the lockèd gate to the wilds beyond
We followed the yellow painted arrows road
And came upon the first in a series of stunning waterfalls...
To make your way up there were paths and ladders - much easier than they look
Looking down from the second waterfall to Woody at the first
It's so serene and peaceful
Who knows what lurks beneath still waters?!
Up, up, up and away...
The ones that were open were more green and leafy
The last waterfall was up a path and then down a ladder (not seen as I'm sitting on it) and along a short boardwalk
We only saw one other person once we were beyond the gate
Not enough time to spend in such a special place.
The last waterfall was open to the sky but surrounded by the mountain cliffs going up much higher than we were.
The trees had roots that flowed like water
The view on the way back down
We used some of the yellow joining paths to get to the fynbos trail so we came back a different route
The view to the bridge on the fynbos path, the restaurant and on to the sea
Where's Woody? Woody waited to take a photo of me on the bridge and I got him hiding in the fynbos.
We were joined by an LBJ as we joined Pip and Nigel at the restaurant for lunch. They had walked the Disa Kloof trail.
The sun it shineth
Leading to a lovely sunset over the golf course - hard to believe the storm forecast for the next day.
And the Guinea fowl pottering around before they headed to bed
Plans afoot for dog walks, meals in, meals out and visits to friends,
Love to all
