Where's Woody? Checking out the cliff path...
We have friends who live in Fernkloof and Tokkie kindly took us for a short walk (limited by ancient and/or unsuitable footwear) and Willow was allowed along for the ride. Doris sacrificed herself and stayed in to cool the white wine, let the red wine breathe and heat up some lovely snacks for us
This is protea which the baboons eat
This is Willow entertaining Woody
stepping stones
Whoops!
The sun shining on the tops of the mountains
Willow drying off before she seas allowed back in
We revisited the Harold Nixon Porter gardens and Woody and I took a longer walk and scramble to Leopardskloof starting on the humpback bridge fol de rol
We went up the Leopards Kloof Trail and back before going along the yellow cut through's and onto the Fynbos trail. Fynbos is a collection of plants that live only in certain conditions. They rejuvenate after fire but wildfires are extremely dangerous.
This is the river we zigzagged up...
The gate. Not sure whether it is supposed to keep things in or out but a deposit at the reception ensured we had a key

The trail was clearly marked
Follow the yellow paint arrows...
Through the woods
Over the rocks
Onwards and upwards
Upwards and upwards
Past a poem
And upwards again!
But not enough space in one email so more to follow of the magical mystery leopards Kloof tour....
Love
