Hermanus to Kleinmond

On Saturday we went to the local Anglican Church as we were planning to be out on the sunday.
There is this lovely little carving there

And this is the view of the inside of the church. The bells the bells are a recording played on speakers on the outside of the church.

We went on to the Saturday market. We had souvlaki and roster koek for brekkie

But we could have had wine

We've been to a town further along the coast. It's quite a drive to get there because you have to go round an estuary/lagoon

We walked along the cliff path there. We saw whales in the bay as we set out and there was some debate about what kind they were

The fire behind the mountains... The smoke was blowing right across the bay to Hermanus and we could smell it when we got home

At the end of the walk- checking his nose is still attached

The clouds had blown in and splatters of rain every now and then. It seemed to be enough to put out the fire

Time to go - the car suddenly appeared as we were looking round a pottery gallery

Dinner at La Vierge which the Woodward family reckons it has the best steaks in the world. I shared an incredible onion starter - Amazing and then pasta puttanesca for main which was rich, tasty and delicious.
Weather expected to get dramatic tonight with storm force winds rolling in.
Love to all xxx
